Who is it for?

We are looking for an intern to join us at Rabble Studio and support the day to day running of our space, to look after our members, help run our social media and organise events.

Our internship is for an early career professional or graduate who has left education in the last 2 years (a degree is not a requirement) and is looking to gain experience working in and for a creative hub. We are looking for someone who is interested in the creative industries and creative hubs, excited to work with others and can see this internship sitting alongside their professional practice. As part of the internship you will get a free full membership at Rabble, which means you have a desk with 24/7 access.

The hours are flexible and instead of set working days, we see this internship as hours spread across the week, agreed with you and also in response to the activities in the studio.

what can you expect?

  • Experience of working in a small co-working studio with 36 creative freelancers and small businesses.

  • On the job training relating to the administration and day to day running of a shared and member focussed work space.

  • Professional development training via skill share. Skills can be taught, attitude can’t.

  • The opportunity to attend meetings and events to network with a wide range of creative organisations and individuals in Cardiff.

  • Opportunity to share your ideas for Rabble and activities in the studio.

Intern Responsibilities

  • Generating and managing our social media and general communication

  • Co-ordination and induction of members

  • The first point of contact for members and general enquiries

  • Working with our Studio Manager to support Rabble activities, including contributing to the sustainability of the space and its members

  • Assisting with our internal events

  • Keeping the studio presentable and clean

  • All other duties pertaining to the smooth running of Rabble Studio

About you

  • Great at Social Media

  • Excited about pursuing a career in the creative or co-working industries

  • Some knowledge or understanding of the creative industries

  • Loves working with, supporting and championing people and networks

  • Good spoken & written communication and interpersonal skills directly with people and via email

  • Good organisation and time management

  • Self-directed, driven and motivated

  • A lover of Doggos

  • Great washing up, GIF and emoji skills

You should also be able to supply your own equipment. A laptop will be required.

6 Months. 12 hours per week. Flexible hours.

There will likely also be evening events - either at Rabble or across the city at partner events -these will be arranged in advance.


£2,592 will be payable by invoice in six instalments of £432. This equates to real living wage - £9 per hour.

Rabble Studio

Friendly and Creative Co-working

Rabble Studio offers work, desk and studio space on a monthly basis for freelancers, small businesses and remote workers based in and around the creative industries. Since 2016 we have been the work home to an eclectic mix of creative professionals ranging from disciplines such as Graphic Design and Journalism, to 3D engineering and Web Development.

We provide our members with workshops to help their businesses, events to get to know each other and start those cool side-projects, and lots of cuddles with each others dogs to keep the happiness level at a maximum - all under our lofty Victorian roof in Cardiff Bay.

As well as being one of the founders of the Co-working Collective in Cardiff, Rabble Studio is also a proud member of the European Creative Hubs Network (ECHN), partnering with other creative hubs in major cities such as Barcelona, Porto and Istanbul, to offer opportunities for international workspace, collaboration and knowledge exchange.
